Scholastic Assessment Test

Crack the SAT, Open Doors to Top Colleges!

The SAT is a globally recognized standardized test used for undergraduate admissions, particularly in the United States, Canada, and some European institutions. The test is designed to assess a student’s readiness for college by measuring literacy, numeracy, and writing skills.

Why SAT?

The SAT is one of the most important factors in college admissions, especially for institutions in the USA. A strong SAT score improves your chances of gaining admission to prestigious universities, securing scholarships, and meeting merit-based criteria.

Who Should Take SAT?

  • High school students applying for undergraduate programs, primarily in the USA, Canada, and certain European countries.

  • Students aiming for scholarships or financial aid at universities that consider SAT scores.

  • Those looking to strengthen their college applications and showcase their academic readiness.

SAT Test Format

The SAT is divided into two main sections that evaluate key academic skills:

Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (100 minutes):

  • Reading (65 minutes): Tests comprehension, vocabulary, and critical reading skills through passages from literature, historical documents, and sciences.

  • Writing and Language (35 minutes): Assesses grammar, usage, and editing skills.

  • Mathematics (80 minutes):

  • Math with Calculator (55 minutes): Focuses on algebra, problem-solving, data analysis, and more advanced math concepts.

  • Math without Calculator (25 minutes): Assesses arithmetic, algebra, and some geometry.

There is also an optional Essay section (50 minutes), which is not mandatory but required by some universities.

SAT Scores

The SAT is scored on a scale of 400 to 1600, combining the two sections (Evidence-Based Reading & Writing and Mathematics). Each section is scored on a scale of 200 to 800. The optional Essay is scored separately on a scale of 2 to 8 for each of the three essay dimensions.

  • Top Scores: Many competitive colleges look for scores above 1400 to consider applicants for admission or scholarships.
